Last year we saw the launch of the first and official Mr and Miss Igbo UK’s pageant competition. The grand finale took place in August in London where contestants took to the stage and runway to win the honorary title. Contestants were judged based on their poise, passion and articulacy.
Contestants presented themselves to the distinguished judges and have the opportunity to share their talents and beauty to the UK and the rest of the world. The pageant rounds include eveningwear, swimwear and traditional wear.
Although the pageant is open to both male and females of Igbo origin, the live show is open to all. Mr and Miss Igbo UK is about educating as much people as possible about the Igbo culture and traditions, as well as celebrating the unity of the UK Igbo community. Notable guests will be in attendance and achievers will be recognised.
Heels4Africa was also launched at the Mr and Miss Igbo UK 2015 live event, which is a UK based project where unwanted heels are turned into aid for disadvantaged African children affiliated charities.
